As part of its work to ease the suffering of vulnerable people in the Mopti region, ONG Avenir organised free medical consultation and treatment days at the new site for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Médina Coura over two days, as well as one day in Djondiori.
In total, more than 188 people benefited from these activities, most of them women and children. Services included general medical consultations, treatment of common illnesses (malaria, respiratory infections, diarrhoeal diseases), distribution of essential medicines, and advice on hygiene and nutrition.
These activities helped improve access to basic health care for vulnerable people, reduce the risk of health complications and raise community awareness of good health practices. They also brought significant relief to beneficiaries living in a context of hardship and displacement.
