PRUCEE-MT — Community-based emergency response to the explosive ordnance threat in Timbuktu
Completed Tombouctou

Contributing to the protection of conflict-affected populations, particularly against the threat of explosive remnants of war (ERW) and the proliferation of small arms and light weapons (SALW), in the cercle of Timbuktu.
Overall objective
Contributing to the protection of conflict-affected populations, including those exposed to the threat of explosive remnants of war (ERW) and to the proliferation of small arms and light weapons (SALW), in the cercle of Timbuktu.
The project is built around three main results:
- Result 1: Civil society actors have stronger technical and organisational capacities to implement and effectively coordinate quality humanitarian mine action (HMA) activities;
- Result 2: Vulnerable populations, made aware of the risks posed by the explosive threat, are able to protect themselves and contribute to the protection of their communities through explosive ordnance risk education (EORE) and victim referral;
- Result 3: The protection ecosystem is strengthened, enabling a quality, coordinated protection response among humanitarian mine action actors.
